The New Orleans Cigar Box Guitar Festival - January 18 - 20, 2024

Join us for the 8th annual CBG Festival at the New Orleans Jazz Museum! More than twenty professional acts will perform, making the event the largest of its type in the world. The New Orleans Cigar Box Guitar Festival is a unique celebration of the art, music, and cultural history of homemade stringed instruments in the city where those rudimentary devices played a key role in the early development of both the jazz and blues musical traditions. But, one of the keys to the uniqueness of the festival is that it's not a Jazz festival or a Blues festival .... not a Folk festival or a Rock festival. It's a music festival performed on unique instruments. The cigar box guitar world is populated by musicians of almost every inclination, representing the various genres, sub-genres and combined genres of today's music. The CBG festival reflects that wide array. Only 100 seats are being sold, guaranteeing each and every attendee a comfortable and intimate experience in the New Orleans Jazz Museum's state-of-the-art 3rd floor Performance Center. New Orleans Film Festival - 11/2 - 12/2023

The 34th annual, Oscar-qualifying New Orleans Film Festival returns November 2-7, 2023 in venues across the city with in-person events, parties, panels, filmmaker pitches, and much more!

The majority of the lineup will also be accessible via the NOFF Virtual Cinema globally between November 2-12, 2023. Geo-restrictions may apply and some films will not screen in the Virtual Cinema at the request of the filmmaker.

NOFF annually brings together 150+ films and hosts 100+ filmmakers in New Orleans to celebrate works of emerging and established filmmakers from New Orleans, Louisiana, the South, and beyond. Audiences get a chance to meet filmmakers in person at talkback sessions after screenings while filmmakers get to network with each other and industry professionals flying in from Los Angeles and New York to discover emerging talent. It’s the best time of the year for film lovers who like to discover the works of storytellers first hand, meet fellow film buffs mingling at festival venues and parties to talk film all festival long.

Enjoy brats, sauerkraut, German cheeses, large Bavarian-style pretzels, German desserts, over 20 different German beers, about 9 different wines, over 20 different schnapps, Oompah Music, Special Dance Performances, Dancing Chicken, Oktoberfest 2 Mile Run/Walk hosted by NOTC, Dachshund Races, Masskrugstemmen – Beer Stein Holding Contest! Tremé Fall Festival - 10/21/2023

The Tremé Fall Festival features the music and food of this cherished New Orleans neighborhood. Some of the Crescent City’s most famous musicians hail from Tremé, and many of them perform at this event. The Festival is produced by the Historic Faubourg Tremé Association (HFTA) to benefit the many cultural destinations found within historic Tremé, including providing support for the architecture, culture, and history of Tremé, as well as fighting blight, crime, and grime. Please join in celebrating and preserving the Tremé!
