Running of the Bulls - San Fermin en Nueva Orleans - Interactive ZOOM Party on 7/11!
John Dunlop
Virtual Fiesta! Where? Comfort of your own home or venue of choice! When? Saturday July 11, 9:30am NOLA time, 7:30am L.A. time! On Saturday July 11th, 2020 all are invited to join the team as they present a way to revel with the friends they normally see each year, but cannot due to the virus.
We're working to bring as much "normal" entertainment as we can. The Reverend Psych Ward will be your host from Amish Country and Los Pastores will be in New Orleans (finally able to join the party rather than running around like mad). We'll bounce around to some of our favorite fans' parties, have some live entertainment pop in, and of course we'll have our RollerBulls!!!
Here's the plan. Find a host, or be the host. Register for your ZOOM access code to join the interactive party. Invite your friends, or enemies, let's use this however it best suits us. Blend up your sangria, get dressed in your finest San Fermin attire and get together the morning of July 11th. You can start as early as you like, we wont judge! We'll open the virtual doors at 9:30am central time. Why so late? Well we wanted our West Coast friends to be able to get up at a decent hour, it is only fair. Don't get used to it locals, we go back to crack o dawn in 2021.
The access code is $20, good for the host plus 1...that's $10/head. We ask that your guests chip in too and are asking the same. They can send via PayPal to merchandise@nolabulls.com...this is on the honor system! We'd love to be able to donate a little to our friends this year and hope that you will join and support us!
A virtual Running of the Bulls? ¿Por Qué No?
VIVA SAN FERMIN!
Happy 302nd Birthday, New Orleans!

New Orleans (La Nouvelle-Orléans) was founded in the spring of 1718 by the French Mississippi Company, under the direction of Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville, on land inhabited by the Chitimacha. While the actual founding date is uncertain, May 7 has become the traditional date to mark the anniversary. As I’m sure Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville said on May 7, 1718, “laissez le bons temps rouler!”
Aaron Neville at The Canyon at The Rose in Pasadena on 3/13/20 & The Canyon at Agoura Hills on 3/14/20!

Aaron Neville recorded his first single in 1960, but it was his second single, six years later that first gave Neville a taste of stardom. “Tell It Like It Is” became a #2 pop hit and #1 R&B smash. In the late 70s, The Neville Brothers – Cyril, Charles, Art and Aaron – found success primarily on the touring circuit but also garnering attention for albums like their 1989 debut for A&M Records, Yellow Moon, one of the most critically acclaimed albums of that era. 1989 was also a very good year for Aaron’s solo career, as he had his fist real hit in 23 years with “Don’t Know Much,” a #2 pop smash that was one o several duets with Neville that Linda Ronstadt included on her album Cry Like A Rainstorm, Howl Like The Wind.
For the quarter-century that followed, Neville deftly balanced the needs of dual group and solo careers. But eventually the demands of the road got to him. In 2012, the Neville Brothers played a farewell show at the Hollywood Bowl, then, feeling that their hometown deserved their real adieu, reunited in May 2015 for a “Nevilles Forever” all-star jam and goodbye blast in New Orleans during Jazz Fest.
Neville records and tours as a solo artist these days, and continues to satisfy and even amaze audiences around the world.

Enjoy the Irish Channel Parade on 3/14!

Wear as much green as your wardrobe will allow, and enjoy this lively parade where floats are accompanied by bands, music, and marching clubs. But what’s a parade in New Orleans without throws? Call out “throw me something mistah!” and be prepared to catch anything from beads to potatoes, carrots, moonpies...and the biggie....cabbages! And again, it being New Orleans, be on the lookout for underwear to be thrown! You’re certain to have a great time! Sláinte!
