Check out WWOZ’s special cubes highlighting the schedule which features some of the great performances in the history of New Orleans music, including performances from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, French Quarter Fest, Satchmo Fest, Crescent City Blues and BBQ Fest, WWOZ Studios and New Orleans Clubs plus rare performances from other historical collections! WWOZ's Virtual Groove Gala on Thursday, September 3!

On Thursday, September 3rd, WWOZ will host the annual GROOVE GALA, and you are cordially invited! This is not your average gala! Wear your favorite festival attire as we unite and gather virtually so everyone around the world can safely celebrate WWOZ’s incredible 40 years of broadcasting and Guarding the Groove.
The amazing talent lineup includes Irma Thomas, Tank and the Bangas, John Boutte, Samantha Fish, Kermit Ruffins, Amanda Shaw with Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. and Tuba Skinny!
In past years, their sold-out gala was held in the heart of the French Quarter at the historic Le Petit Theatre and Tableau Restaurant, with room for only 350 Guardians of the Groove. This year WWOZ is presented with a unique opportunity to open the doors to a worldwide virtual audience so there’s room for everyone to groove together! Join the fun on Thursday, September 3rd beginning at 7pm central where the Groove Gala will be streaming via WWOZ’s Facebook page, their YouTube, wwoz.org and broadcasting on 90.7FM.

This Sunday would've been Irma Thomas's 37th annual Mother's Day performance at the Audubon Zoo. Since it can't happen this year, WWOZ will be broadcasting an archived concert of hers to keep up the longstanding tradition for all the moms out there.
