BUKU Music + Art Project 3/25 - 26/2022

BUKU Music + Art Project is a two-day music and arts festival founded in 2012 and held at Mardi Gras World. BUKU considers itself to be a boutique event that delivers a big festival punch without compromising its house-party vibe. BUKI describes itself a follows: vibrant music and art festival meets underground warehouse party celebrating the progressive subculture of New Orleans. It’s a New Orleans playground … the lines between fan and performer are blurred … am I looking at art or sitting on its? Does it matter? Let go and immerse yourself in: BUKULTURE! Music and art feel different like this.

Motel Radio at The Moroccan Lounge on 12/15/19

Harmonies aren’t dead, at least not in Motel Radio’s case. The four piece from New Orleans builds silky, melodic guitar waves for their stacked vocals to surf across. Breezy, but intentional; pop-minded, yet psychedelic, their tunes are as likely to stick with songwriter buffs as they are deadheads. The group is taking time to record their debut full length after a couple years of heavy touring behind their first 2 EPs.
